With 11 wins in 13 fights, the 28-year old is establishing a solid reputation in MMA.

He made his UFC debut on Fight Island last year and is still unbeaten, having been taken past the first round only once.

Aspinall sparred with Fury in preparation for his 2015 showdown with Wladimirklitschko.

The Wigan fighter took a break in 2017 from MMA to make his pro-boxing debut. He beat Tamas Bajzath by a knockout in the first round.

Fury Sr. told Give Me Sport that Tom Aspinall would do great things in the UFC. He'll also have a cross-over bout, and he'll likely be the first MMA fighter who does huge things in boxing.

"He does not let anything stop him. He won't allow anything to get in his way.

"Look at what he has already accomplished, he is in the top ten in the UFC. He's still young.

"And I believe that he will be the first to cross from MMA to traditional boxing and win titles when he does there. That's what I said first.

"Keep up the good work Tom Aspinall. You're a great friend, and I love you very much."

Fury Sr believes Aspinall's quick hands, technical skills, and 6ft 5ins frame can be transferred from the octagon into the ring.

The 57-year old added that he can box well, punch hard and move really well for a heavyweight.

"He is a tall guy, 6'4" or 5'5", and eighteen stone.

He's strong and has a lot of guts. He is willing to learn and improve.

"He's a good listener Tom Aspinall. I like him, his attitude is great, he's a warrior just like Tyson."
