JORGE MASVIDAL believes that Nate Diaz's refusal to sign a new contract with the UFC may be due to brain damage.
Favorite Diaz is still fighting under his current contract, but he has no plans to sign a new one.

Masvidal, a former opponent in Stockton's slugger, was puzzled by the Stockton slugger’s decision to not re-up. He believes the concussive hits he's suffered over the years have clouded him judgment.
Masvidal stated that he thinks he has too much CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) to understand the information they are putting before him.

Masvidal and Diaz, both 37-year-olds, fought in November 2019 at UFC 244 Madison Square Garden.
Masvidal won via third round TKO, which was due to a doctor's stoppage. However, he is open to a second fight with Ultimate Fighter season five winner.
He stated, "I can send them off in their last fight with all the s*** talk they've been doing lately."
"I would not mind breaking his jaw, and sending him off at whatever gambling casino he is going to be fighting at."

Masvidal, a two-time challenger for the welterweight title, hasn't fought in over a year since losing his UFC 272 grudge bout with Colby Covington back in March.
Diaz has been adamant about getting back in the octagon ever since his UFC 263 loss to Leon Edwards.

Late last month, he tweeted: "I have been tryingin' to fight for a whole year and months. I also tried to fight Khamzat [Chimaev] the last month and a quarter but he was injured, had visa problems, and overweight. Now his b ******* has decided to get married rather than fighting wtf?"
