JORGEMASVIDAL claims Jake Paul declined an offer to meet him in the octagon.
Paul called out Masvidal, a fan favourite who beat Tyron Woodley in a viral KO last December.
After KOing Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul asked for a match with Jorge Masvidal in boxing
Paul taunted Masvidal repeatedly in an effort to get him to box. But Gamebred claims that he has turned the tables on Paul after watching him tease a switch from boxing to MMA.
Masvidal, when Masvidal raised the subject of a fight against the ex-Disney star, asked DAZN: "Why would I fight Jake Paul in Boxing?"
"Look at his last pay per-view [his rematch against Tyron Woodley].
"It generated very few buys, but my fights generate amazing numbers. His, not so.
"He offered me $5m for him to come and box him.
"I make more in the UFC than that, so why would he want me to fight him for that?" He has nothing to offer me.
"After that terrible offer, me and our team made an offer to him and his team to fight me in UFC.
"A UFC one-fight deal. He would be defeated by me, and I would humble him to the point that he will never again box in boxing."
Problem Child Paul tried to convince Dana White, UFC chief, to allow him to face Masvidal in the cage. He also promised to quit boxing if he was granted his demands.
He tweeted, "I will immediately quit boxing and fight Jorge Masvidal at the UFC if I agree to:
"1) Increase the minimum fighter pay per fight to $50k (it is currently $12k).
"2) Guarantee UFC fighters at least 50% of UFC's annual revenues ($1bn by 2021).
"3) Provide long-term healthcare for all fighters (you said previously that brain damage was part of the gig... imagine if the NFL did that). Many UFC alums have made public statements that they are suffering brain damage.
You have five days to accept the above and implement it by March 31, 2022.
"Once implemented, I will immediately retire boxing and enter USADA [United States Anti-Doping Agency] to agree to a fight with UFC to defeat weak-chin Jorge.
To all UFC fighters, it's time to stand up and add value to yourself and your peers.
"You are entitled to a higher salary, long-term healthcare, and freedom.
"Support one another. "I am not your enemy. I am your advocate... who selfishly wants KO a few of your bank accounts."
Masvidal, 37 years old, is currently preparing for a grudge fight with bitter rival Colby Covington. They will clash this weekend at UFC 272 in Las Vegas.
Paul is reportedly aiming for a September return to ring after his viral KO Of Woodley.
