JORGE MASVIDAL does not intend to ever forgive Colby Covington's below-the belt insults.
After a dispute with Paulino Hernandez, the former interim UFC Welterweight Champion turned against Masvidal.
Jorge Masvidal and Coly Covington will meet this weekend at UFC 272
Masvidal's once warm bromance with Covington has turned into a series of verbal insults and threats, as well as social media jibes.
Covington, 34 has made some questionable claims about his ex-roommate.
Masvidal stated that he couldn't respect Masvidal during the UFC 272 media conference.
"Kind of like Ben Askren. Ben Askren is not my favorite.
"If Ben Askren was in a place, and he said anything to me then s**t. We can even fight. If he's cool I'll be cool. Or we can fight.
Colby is a great example of Colby's stubbornness.
"Just because he spoke about my religion and mentioned my children."
Masvidal, 37, is chomping at the bit for a resounding victory over his American Top Team team-mate.
He won't be able to win an overwhelming victory over the controversial figure.
SunSport spoke with him: "As far a having beaten great fighters, etc., I won't even speak to my grandkids regarding this guy."
It will be personal stuff. It'll be a personal thing.
"But, as far accomplishments are concerned, he won’t rank on the top as far accomplishments.
"I don’t rank his style or how he fights.
"I believe I'm going to make it look easy on Saturday night, and people aren't even going to give credit for that."
They'll be like, "Yeah, Masvidal was correct. Colby is an overrated and overanked piece of s**t.
Gamebred devised a plan to win his grudge match against Ben Askren in July 2019.
He has a similar plan for Covington: "It begins violently and it ends even worse."
