JORGE MASVIDAL hinted that he would be Leon Edwards' opponent in the first defense of his welterweight title.

Jorge Masvidal would like to defend Edwards' first title
Edwards will defend the 170lb weight strap in England, where Masvidal claims he'll end Brummie's reign of champion.
He tweeted, "I will soon be the WW champion of the UFC."
Masvidal and Edwards (37 and 31 respectively) clashed backstage at UFC London on March 2019.
After a brief verbal dispute, Masvidal, a fan favourite, punched the new welterweight champion in the face. Security then separated them.
Edwards pursued the American for two years, before finally landing a fight at UFC 269 last December.
Masvidal was injured and had to abandon their grudge match.
Masvidal is currently in a three-fight skid, but is optimistic about finishing the job that he started backstage at O2.
He tweeted: "Styles makes fights."
Edwards is currently focusing on a three-fight fight with Usman. Usman was poised to win a decision before Edwards was caught with a vicious head punch.
Masvidal stated that the Brits' plans were "remembered a time when England had an opponent who wanted a particular fight, and he told UFC what he wanted. And it was made happen."
"The real ones will know what I mean, but the newbies won’t."
Edwards stated that he had not seen Masvidal call out, but that he was a bum before he won the title.
"He is just looking for another title shot. But I'll grant his wish after this fight.
"I want it in UK, I'll give to the bum the chance to fight for the title just so everyone can see how s***y he is."
