Jorge Masvidal, UFC star, is looking to return to the Octagon in March.
American Top Team star, Kamaru Usman, hasn't been inside the cage since his devastating knockout defeat to Kamaru Usman, welterweight champ at UFC 261.
Jorge Masvidal hasn’t been inside the Octagon since April
Masvidal was scheduled to face Leon Edwards at UFC 269 last month, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The 'Badest Motherf***er In the Game' appears to be now vying for a spot on UFC 272, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, March 12.
Gamebred tweeted "March 3 0 5" on New Year's Day
Masvidal, 37-year-old fan favourite, was forced to withdraw from Edwards' eagerly awaited showdown because of a rib injury.
However, the MMA veteran recently said that he is back to full fitness and ready for action.
He stated that he was off the injury list and that the little ones don't want the contract.
"The contract has been handed, it is in their face, they know that I am off the injury list.
"I am trying to make some money. In the meantime, as I can't rip this bitches up, I'm going to rip these mountaines up."
Masvidal sent Edwards a direct message and said, "Oh, to the one in England who's speaking s**t."
"You too, man. Let's go! Let's get started.
"Yes, I'm going to embarrass and humiliate you.
"But you guys will make a lot of cash in the process."
After his clash with Masvidal was cancelled, Edwards said he would continue to wait for a title shot.
SunSport has learned that the UFC brass reached out to the Brummie regarding a possible return to action in March.
UFC President Dana White revealed recently that Edwards is a promotion eager to book him'soon'. She said: "No [there's no update], not yet.
"We are working on fighting all the way to mid-April.
"So, we'll get that figured out soon. Khamzat [Chimaev] also. Yes."
