JORGE MASVIDAL broke his silence after the cancellation of their showdown with Leon Edwards, but he has yet to address their withdrawal from their welterweight clash.
Gamebred pulled out of the UFC 269 grudge match with Gamebred earlier this week due to an undisclosed injury.
Gamebred was forced to withdraw
because of an unspecified injury.
Many, including Conor McGregor, were skeptical about Masvidal's decision to withdraw.
McGregor claimed that he had bottled his fight with Rocky, but McGregor broke his silence early Saturday morning on Twitter.
He stated, "I suppose you're off all your meds and barking up to the wrong tree."
"Don't be disappointed that your client was about be blessed with the largest payday of his lifetime, and now you don’t get a dime.
"Too many men for you little guy? Go back to fighting old dudes at bars."
McGregor, 33, responded by saying, "Ye, sweetheart?"
"Put the kettle on for me in my little housecoat there. Hans [Molenkamp] and I will have a discussion about your pity wage today hahahahahaahaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Birmingham bruiser Edwards, however, did not address the cancellation of their showdown. This was more than two years in the making.
He tweeted, "Disappointed but honest, I knew that this fraud didn’t want to beat me anyway."
"He was only a stop on the road to the title. The goal is the same.
"Much needed family-time now, @usman84kg I'll see you soon."
Edwards decided to not continue on the UFC 269 stacked card. It will be held in Las Vegas on December 11.
Unbeaten welterweight sensation Khamzat Chimiaev offered to replace Masvidal. He took to Twitter to promote his first attempt at a 170-pounder in the top ten.
He tweeted: "Let’s go bro, we do it @leonedwardsmma."
After learning about Masvidal's withdrawal Nick Diaz, a renowned MMA fighter, offered to fight the fight at short notice.
On Instagram, he wrote: "Put us in."
Edwards, 30 years old, hasn't fought in over ten months since his June unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz.
