Conor McGegor was hugged by Justin Bieber after he won artist of the Year at the VMAs
After his red carpet incident with Machine Gun Kelly, the 33-year old is now on the road to recovery. He was there to present Bieber the Artist of the Year prize at the VMAs.
McGregor and Kelly had an altercation prior to the show. Security forced them both to leave the red carpet.
McGregor's spokesperson said that McGregor did not participate in the incident, which is alleged to have started when Kelly refused Kelly a photo opportunity.
Kelly is alleged to have pushed McGregor, causing McGregor to fall backwards and spill his drink.
After McGregor, according to celebrity news site, allegedly threw a drink at Kelly, security had to keep them apart.
McGregor took to stage after the incident to present Bieber with the prize he had won, ahead of Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat, Ariana Grande and Olivia Rodrigo.
Canadian popstar, Canadian Popstar, then took to the podium and gave an acceptance speech. He reflected on the pandemic before backing his pal to bounce back in stunning fashion when he faces Poirier again.
Bieber stated: "I know that you guys have heard it a lot. But we are in unprecedented times right this moment, with this, um Covid thing.
"We are all here together, don't we? We have a lot more things in common than we do.
"And I look around and I see so many beautiful people, and I truly believe that the best is yet ahead."
McGregor was Bieber's focus, and he said: "We're going to get 'em next.
"New York is back, and so is Mac. 2022 will be the greatest year of our lives.
Bieber said: "Conor. We're gonna get'em next time. My boy. Let's get started.
