KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV claimed he could have KILLED Conor McGregor in 2018 UFC fight with their submission hold.
McGregor was defeated by the Russian when they met in UFC 229.
After months of bitter rivalry, McGregor attacked Khabib's bus.
After the fight, a massive brawl broke out when Khabib got out of the Octagon. Both fighters were given lengthy suspensions.
Khabib claimed in an interview with RT that McGregor could have died if the referee had not stopped the fight.
He said, "You saw what happened. You can remove Herb Dean, and you will see if I would have gone all the way to the end.
A person can easily be killed by such a grip. You would be able to understand the meaning of this if I were to strangle your neck.
"When someone strangles you for more than 30 years, it is called a cold weapon. What would have happened if there was no referee?

McGregor has launched attacks on a number UFC stars via social media, including Khabib and Daniel Cormier.
The Dubliner is currently recuperating from a broken leg sustained in his first round against Dustin Poirier last October.
In a Twitter rant, the ex-two-weight world champion claimed that he would EAT Khabibs children.
He wrote, "I want to eat his children!" He wrote: "I want to eat his children!"
"When is the last time he saw them?" His wife? His mother?
"How about you spend some quality time with your family and kids for a change? Keep my name out of your mouth, b/c you might get trapped again.
