Chimaev was delighted to celebrate his 10th professional win

He choked out the highly-rated Chinese fighter moments later to win his first appearance in the Octagon in more than a year.

White was elated when Chimaev revealed what he had said in his post-fight interview.

He also had a question to ask the Jingliang detractors, who believed Jingliang would give him his first professional loss.

At Abu Dhabi's Etihad arena, he told Daniel Cormier: "I said, Dana, I am king here.

"I will remain for a long while and I'm going to come for everyone. I'm going to kill everyone.

"Do you still believe me?" "I told you that I was going to kill him, and he's still asleep, bro.

When asked about his next challenge, the 27-year old replied, "Everybody, everyone."

"I'm coming to everybody. Kill everyone. "I'm the champ, and I'm king!"

Chimaev was sickened by Covid after he spent time away from the Octagon.

He was able to defeat the battle-tested Jingliang who many believed would be a more difficult test in the desert.

Jingliang was able to resist an initial attempt at takedown but fell to double-underhooks. Chimaev used them to lift Jingliang in the air and spar with White.

Chimaev took his opponent to the ground before overcoming his spirit resistance and choking him out at the third attempt of asking.
