Logan Paul, a YOUTUBER turned Boxer, claimed that he was almost responsible for the UFC's biggest names coming to blows.
The 26-year old thought he was booking a dinner for himself and his three friends at a restaurant. He was totally unaware of the potential consequences.
Paul weighed the entire eight rounds against Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition boxing match in June
This is because Paul's former chef worked for Conor McGregor, and The Notorious was one his guests at Khabib's restaurant.MINUTESBefore.
Paul stated that he was almost to blame for an altercation between two of world's most prominent combat sports stars during Episode 287.
Paul continued to say:
"I didn’t think much of it. But, I received a text the next morning saying that Conor McGregor's chef showed up because he was cooking at his camp.
"I don’t know why I didn’t make that connection."
Paul claimed then that the restaurant staff "flipped the f**k" when they realized McGregor and Khabib were so near to being together.
Paul also revealed that the mishap occurred right in the middle of McGregor's and Khabib’s war of words.
Khabib won via submission in round four at UFC 229 in Oct 2018.
He was forced to submit in Vegas and things quickly spiralled out of control. There was a massive brawl in the Octagon.
The war was already escalating even before McGregor broke the window on Khabib's bus.
McGregor made one last dig at Khabib in the wake of UFC's unbeaten star announcing his retirement. McGregor posted on Instagram:
"Never forget who brought you into the game." Straight from my big Irish balls.
McGregor's fight results are in decline since Khabib's loss. However, The Notorious has lost two of the three fights since that clash.
McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone in January 2020. However, McGregor has been beaten back-to-back by Dustin Poirier.
After suffering a horrific leg injury in his fight against Poirier, the 33-year-old UFC poster boy has promised to return.
After breaking his fibula and tibia, he's likely to be out of commission for at least a year.
McGregor claims that he will use McGregor's injury as a "launchpad" for a comeback. The Irishman is already back in training after the injury.
