In less than one minute, the 38-year old was sent flying through the ropes.

Guillard suffered his fourth consecutive defeat at BKFC.

During his 10-year UFC tenure, the American fought Nate Diaz and Justin Gaethje.

However, he has had difficulty imposing himself in the BKFC since stepping out of the Octagon.

Guillard posted snaps on Instagram of his horrific eye injury after his Montana defeat.

He also posted photos of his swollen eye and wrote, "Just discovered, at 3.15 am, that I have five fractures within my orbital, so I will be having surgery today."

"Just wanted my friends, family and fans to know the good news. You can keep me in your thoughts and prayers, I'll be fine.

"I won't lie if I say I'm not scared right now. We'll see how it turns out."

Guillard is determined to continue despite the losses and terrible injuries.

Guillard confirmed that he was released from hospital and added: "Appreciate all the love from my fans... just not going slow me down, [nor] stopping me from achieving my goal."

It seems that not everyone wants to see Guillard continue his fight.

Many worried fans took to Twitter to voice their concern.

Some even called for Guillard's exclusion from fighting again.

Tom Taylor, MMA reporter, tweeted: "No commission should let Melvin Guillard fight in this point. #BKFCMONTANA

Jack, a MMA fan, added that "Guilard was not in great shape for this."

"His punches seemed slow, he went down after the first punch Riggs threw...he really needs to stop.

"BKFC is a joke... their entire roster is washed-up MMA fighters."
