UFC lightweight Michael Chandler claimed that he is the frontrunner for Conor McGregor's comeback fight to the octagon.
After stopping Tony Ferguson with a viral kick, the 36-year old secured one of UFC's most brutal knockouts earlier this month.
McGregor hasn’t fought since July last year, after breaking his wrist during his defeat to Dustin Poirier.
The Missouri native, who suffered back-to-back defeats to Charles Oliveira & Justin Gaethje has now entered contention for world honors.
He is currently attempting to get a fight against the Notorious to win a shot at a second title shot.
McGregor has been absent from action since last year, after breaking his leg during his defeat to Dustin Poirier in the trilogy bout.
He has been recovering quicker than expected and hints on social media Tuesday that a comeback fight has been arranged.

After Chandler's victory against Ferguson, McGregor was called out in his post-fight interview.
McGregor, 33 years old, took to Twitter to accept McGregor's challenge and to congratulate him for his amazing performance.
Chandler now claims that he believes he will be the next opponent to the Dubliner.
On Bussin' with The Boys, the former lightweight champion of Bellator said that he feels like he's the frontrunner. I could be the frontrunner.

"I believe I'm close to being the guy who has the conversation with Conor, and very few people have the opportunity to do so.
"You have to take it more seriously or add a little more weight.
"I think Conor beat me, but I'm still fighting for the title. This sport is unpredictable. "Who knows?"
Chandler revealed that he would love to compete against McGregor in Ireland.
He said: "I believe it's Croke Park, or something, there is an enormous stadium out there, they have talked about doing, Croke Park, or something like that.
"That would also be amazing, I would love the opportunity to travel into enemy territory."
