Tate, 35 years old, was about to make her Flyweight debut. However, she managed to land fewer strikes than her opponent.
Tate was seen wearing a large patch on her eye as a result of the fight. She was attending Yankee Stadium to watch a Baseball match between the Yankees & Red Sox.
Murphy caused severe injury to her left eye, which was clearly visible during the fight.
The image of the former Woman's Bantamweight champion wearing the patch was posted to her Instagram account.
