McCann Dominates in Women's Strawweight Category
Molly McCann secured an impressive victory over Diana Belbita in their recent UFC fight at the UFC Apex. The two fighters went head to head in the Women's Strawweight category, and McCann came out on top with a stunning submission move.
McCann's First Submission Win
McCann, 33, dominated the fight and secured the win in the first round with just one second left on the clock. She executed an incredible armbar move, pinning Belbita with her legs and causing her rival's arm to "pop."
Referee Rushes In
As Belbita tapped out and screamed in pain, the referee quickly intervened to separate the fighters and assist Belbita. McCann's emotions ran high as she celebrated her victory, while Belbita remained in discomfort on the floor.
No Broken Arm Confirmed
Initial concerns arose that Belbita had suffered a broken arm during the fight. However, she later confirmed that a CT scan revealed no broken bones. She will undergo an MRI upon returning to Canada to assess any potential ligament damage.

McCann's Apology and Future Goals
After the fight, McCann apologized for not competing in her natural weight class earlier in her career. She expressed her forgiveness for herself and her commitment to moving forward. McCann now has her sights set on winning UFC gold and is determined to achieve her goal despite facing adversity.
McCann stated, "The plan was to be a world champion, that didn't work out at 125lbs. You know when the plan doesn't work, you don't change the goal. You change the plan. Adversity, I've pushed through."
She credited her coach, Paul Rimmer, for his guidance and promised that she would continue to listen and follow his advice.
