Negotiations seem to have stopped as Diaz vented anger at White and UFC Chief Financial Officer Hunter Campbell.

He tweeted: "I would like to request to have my #ufc release from @danawhite @hunter

"I'm sorry for asking you online, but I don't want to fight you asap. I got s***to do."

It looks like a U-turn is possible, even though it will require UFC to dig into their pockets.

Conor McGregor has won and lost to the welterweight challenger. He has teased an online tri-final decider.

In 2016, Diaz became the first man who beat McGregor (33), in the UFC, but McGregor lost the rematch five month later.

Colby Covington (welterweight) recently claimed that the two rivals will face off in a tri-final decider.

James Lynch was told by Covington that Conor is going to fight Nate. He said, "I think Conor is gonna fight Nate. I think that's one of the most lucrative fights the UFC can do."
