Usyk Eyes Dubois Rematch

Following a call-out from UFC star Alex Pereira, Oleksandr Usyk is considering a switch to MMA. However, his priority remains a rematch with Daniel Dubois for the undisputed heavyweight titles. Usyk expressed his readiness to face Dubois, highlighting the importance of God and Turki Alalshikh in making the fight happen.

Controversy and Triumph

In their 2023 fight, Usyk defeated Dubois in the ninth round, marred by controversy over a low blow in the fifth. Usyk went on to beat Tyson Fury twice in 2024 but had to vacate the IBF title for their December rematch. In the meantime, Dubois claimed the IBF belt by knocking out Anthony Joshua and was set to defend it against Joseph Parker before falling ill.

Crossover Bout Possibility

Despite the WBO ordering Usyk to face Parker, the Ukrainian fighter is keen on a Dubois rematch to unify the belts. Pereira's call-out has also caught Usyk's attention, with the boxing legend open to a crossover bout in the MMA cage post-Dubois fight. Usyk jokingly mentioned considering the option of fighting in a cage, hinting at a potential switch to MMA.
