Weight Miss Leads to Unusual Fight
A Polish mixed martial artist, Alan Kwiecinski, found himself in a shocking 2v1 fight after missing weight for his Fame MMA 23 clash with Amadeusz Roslik by a staggering seven pounds. The fight took place in front of a packed crowd at the Atlas Arena in Lodz.
Acceptance of Handicap Bout
Despite the risk of being removed from the card, Kwiecinski was allowed to fight under the condition that he also shared the cage with Roslik’s father, Dariuz. The MMA fighter accepted the challenge, possibly to ensure he still received payment.
Dramatic Finish
During the bout, footage shows Roslik’s father getting dropped before Kwiecinski faced a tougher challenge with Amadeusz. Ultimately, it was 60-year-old Dariusz who secured the victory, forcing Kwiecinski to submit to a rear-naked choke while facing a barrage of blows from Amadeusz.
Reactions and Previous Handicap Fights
MMA fans and UFC featherweight Sodiq Yussuf were quick to comment on the unusual fight. This 2v1 clash is not the only handicap MMA fight this year, with former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall also taking on a 2v1 showdown earlier in the year.
