Conor McGregor was the subject of Rampage Jackson's frank discussion
The 43-year old, better known as 'Rampage,' praised Notorious's impact on MMA, but singled out the 2019 incident when Notorious appeared to strike a man at a pub after a row.
Jackson said to Helwani, "I don’t agree with everything Conor has to say, but I think Conor is a great ambassador for the sport. He's an entertainer, you know.
"Conor is free to say and do what he likes. He does things that make him look bad.
"I have never met Conor McGregor, but I love what he has done for the sport.
"I wish he would stop beating up old men. This is wrong. Conor McGregor needs to be made to see the light.
Jackson competed last in 2019, when he won a TKO victory over Fedor Emlianenko at Japan's Rizin promotion.
He is closing in on a fight against Shannon Briggs, an ex-boxer.
He stated that it would be a boxing match, and then he said he wanted to wait six more months [for MMA].
"I told him that it was too long. Then, we'll wait for two to three months before we can do an MMA fight.
"We are trying to organize the fight for December 4. I signed the paperwork.
"I believe he is waiting on one his promoters. Because boxing is different from MMA, I will let them promote it.
"I don’t know how I can promote no boxing match. We are still waiting for a few people but have all the contracts and stuff in place.
