Former Fighter Tackles Attacker to the Ground
As the situation escalated, Marrero is said to have produced another knife. Baez quickly sprang into action and tackled the attacker to the ground, holding him down in a chokehold until the police arrived.
Baez Relies on Instincts and Training
Speaking about the incident, Baez explained that his years of training and experience in MMA allowed him to react quickly and effectively. He said, "When you train so many times, it becomes just a reflex. Once it came to that, it's all instincts."

Attacker Faces Charges
According to Miami-Dade County jail records, Omar Marrero is now facing charges of burglary with assault or battery and aggravated battery. Baez, on the other hand, can be proud of his pro MMA career, which included a record of 5-2-1.
