CONOR McGREGOR had Ryan Tubridy stunned when he shared a throwback photograph from a Late Late Show appearance.
In 2014, the UFC star from Ireland appeared on the talk-show ahead of a UFC Fight Night in Dublin.
McGregor won a TKO victory against Diego Brandao in the first round in front of his fans. Brandao was there to replace Cole Miller, who was injured.
McGregor was previewing Miller's fight during his appearance on RTE.
Tubridy couldn’t hide his joy when McGregor made a smart quip about why he would win the UFC Fight Night.
McGregor stated that he believed McGregor would enter, approach, and make the fight unpleasant.
"I believe he's going try to make the fight ugly, but as Ryan can see, I'm just to damn pretty to sit next to him Ryan."
Tubridy and the audience erupted in laughter as McGregor smiled.
The UFC would award the flyweight title to the Dubliner the next year, and the lightweight title in 2016.
McGregor won the Octagon title over Eddie Alvarez in 2005, but has not won it since.
In his two previous fights, he lost back-to-back to Dustin Poirier. The most recent was after a terrible leg injury.
Although The Notorious has yet to return to the Octagon, he has been increasing his training as a way to compete for the top honors.
McGregor stated that he was determined to move up in weight to the welterweight category and said, "Straight back into Training."
"I look forward to getting back in the Octagon - we'll watch what happens.
"The leg is getting stronger every day. I think 170 will be my goal, I feel good at this weight.
McGregor called out Kamaru Usman, the current champ, to challenge him for his belt. Usman however dismissed McGregor's claims as he is 'not relevant'.
