COLBY COVINGTON met Jorge Masvidal for the first time in almost three years.
After a fierce UFC 272 press conference in Las Vegas, the former best friends turned into rivals on Friday evening.
Their staredown, which was moderated by Dana White, president of UFC, didn't disappoint.
After exchanging insults and allegations, the pair looked each other dead in the eye in a face-off which further hyped up their grudge match.
They were stopped from meeting by the UFC's security team, who were supported by two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers.
Two-time welterweight title challengers Masvidal and Covington, now 34 and 37, were best friends and roommates.
Their bromance ended when Covington allegedly reprimanded Masvidal's long-standing coach at PS12,500.
Since then, the pair have been involved in a self-confessed "blood feud".
BMF Masvidal is not going to forgive his friend for his controversial remarks.
He said that he couldn't respect him during the UFC 272 media conference.
"Kind of like Ben Askren. Ben Askren is not my favorite.
"If Ben Askren was in a place, and he said anything to me then s**t. We can even fight or not.
"If he is cool, I'll also be cool. Or we can fight.
Colby is a great example of Colby's stubbornness.

Covington, a former interim champion 170lb, feels the same.
Chaos was asked if he would be open to letting the past be forgotten.
