From Homelessness to the Cage
Sinead Kavanagh's journey from mopping gym floors to becoming a top MMA star is nothing short of inspirational. After a successful amateur boxing career, Kavanagh found herself homeless and struggling to make ends meet. She saw MMA as her last chance to pursue a career in fighting.
A Chance Encounter at Straight Blast Gym
Ten years ago, Kavanagh walked into Straight Blast Gym in Dublin, hoping to train under the guidance of John Kavanagh, Conor McGregor's mentor. Despite financial struggles, Kavanagh convinced John to let her train for free, even offering to mop the gym floors after training sessions.
Rising Through the Ranks
Thanks to her hard work and determination, Kavanagh quickly rose through the ranks. She signed with Bellator and challenged for the featherweight title in 2021. Despite facing defeat, Kavanagh continues to push forward, with her next fight scheduled for March 22 in Belfast.
A Supportive Team
Throughout her career, Kavanagh has received unwavering support from John Kavanagh and Conor McGregor. McGregor, who sponsors her, has been a constant source of motivation and encouragement, even carrying her out of the cage after a challenging fight.

An Iconic Moment
Being carried out of the cage by McGregor and coach Kavanagh symbolizes the pivotal role these two figures have played in Kavanagh's career. With their guidance and support, she continues to thrive in the world of MMA, fulfilling her dream of making a living out of fighting.
