UFC 272 will host the most bitter grudge match in UFC history, Colby Covington against Jorge Masvidal.
They went from being inseparable training partners and room-mates to becoming bitter enemies.

Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington
This is the only place where we can begin. They shared an apartment, sparred, and socialized together to help each other.
Masvidal asserts that the beef began when Covington refused payment to his striking coach Paulino Hernandez after a 2018 fight.
Covington says it is false and that Masvidal grew jealous of him and invented the accusations to create friction between them.
It has been public feuding ever since Covington left their gym, setting the stage for a great fight in Las Vegas this weekend.
Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov
McGregor was stripped of UFC's lightweight title in 2018 for inactivity. Khabib would win the belt at UFC 223 in New York.
McGregor flew to America that week after an altercation between Nurmagomedov's pal Artem Lobov and which led to the famous bus attack.
The fight would take place at UFC 229 in October. Khabib won by submission. This ended months of trash talk.
However, a brawl broke out shortly after the fight between the opposing sides, which kept the rivalry alive until today.
TJ Dillashaw against Cody Garbrandt
Dillashaw, Garbrandt and Masvidal were training partners and close friends, just like Covington or Masvidal.
This was until Dillashaw quit Team Alpha Male and began fighting under Duane Ludwig.
He was a foe to Alpha Male, but he did two times knock Garbrandt out in their fights.
One year after their rematch, Dillashaw tested positive to banned substances. Henry Cejudo lost the rematch. Garbrandt demanded a three-fight series.
Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz
In 2015, Diaz called McGregor out. It seemed unlikely that they would fight.
However, McGregor was defeated by Rafael dos Anjos after he pulled out from fighting him a year later.
Five months later, he would lose the rematch in a 25-minute thriller. But the bad blood wasn't over.
They still use the same words online as they did at every press conference between them, fueling demand for a trilogy.
Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier
They signed up to fight in 2014, but they started things early after a brawl at a press conference.
After a five-round match of chess, Jones won the bout by points.
The UFC legend had problems out of the cage, delaying a rematch, and fueling the animosity towards one another.
Jones won the 2017 rematch, but a failed drug screening resulted in the result being reverted to a no contest. Despite talks, there was no trilogies.
Dominick Cruz vs Urijah Faber
This rivalry dates back to 2007, when lower-league promotion WEC was introduced. Faber won by submission.
Four years later, they rematch. Cruz won the match on points after years of negotiations.
Cruz would win bragging rights for his life with a trilogy winner in 2016.
Cruz also beat Dillashaw, at the time under Faber’s wing. This only increased the feud.
Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz
This legendary rivalry should have been ended in 2006, but it was.
They fought for years as UFC's top stars, until Ortiz beat Liddell in 2004.
Liddell won the rematch two more years later, which was what everyone hoped would end that chapter of their careers.
However, the couple were both 91 years old, and they decided to make a trilogy in 2018, which Ortiz won embarrassingly in round 1.
