Tony Ferguson would like to see Conor McGregor return to the UFC, but Notorious says that he is not coming back.

TONY FERGUSON admitted that he is open to Conor McGregor returning to the Octagon next year, but he doubts that the UFC star will ever fight again.

McGregor, a former two-division champion, is currently recovering from the terrible broken leg that he sustained in his fight with Dustin Pourier last July.

McGregor and Ferguson share a history and were under the same management.

After taking part in the remake Road House with Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal, the Irishman is expected back to action next year.

Ferguson would love to end his feud with The Notorious, if it was presented.

SunSport asked McGregor if he would like McGregor to return to the cage.

Ferguson's dispute with McGregor stems out of McGregor allegedly breaking his promise to not move more than 155lbs back when they were both represented jointly by Paradigm Sports.

Ferguson left Paradigm in April 2019, and strongly believes that his reps tried everything to prevent him from becoming the UFC's poster child.

He stated that they had the same management and there were many reasons why they didn't want to work with me.

"They knew how dangerous an opponent was. Now, it's different. These two f***ing knuckleheads have been my fishing lure.

"You have McNuggets, and I said Khabiber [Khabib Nurmagomedov]

"I call him fathead. It's totally different with these dudes.

"They have their own management team and they've been avoiding my presence for a while with the UFC's assistance and trying to keep their valet."

McGregor was left waiting for Ferguson after he won the interim 155lb title on October 2017.

He believes that Mystic Mac helped him avoid being a victim to his patent elbows.

He stated, "With me they don't want to have their face rearranged."

"With Conor. Like I said, he is on a boat, but he is not the BOAT.

"The BOAT is the greatest boat of all time. BOATS are resilient, even when GOATS leave.

"No matter where the f**k is, I'll fight him using the jet ski. "I've done it before."

Ferguson isn't sure McGregor will return to the MMA octagon.

He stated that Conor was the one who should be fighting. He said: "The fight with Conor?

"Because that dude's a big p***y. He won't be coming back."

Ferguson will be in action on Sunday morning at UFC 279's co-main event. He'll face Li Jingliang, his return to the Welterweight division.
