KHAMZAT CHIMAEV returned to the UFC with a spectacular performance, choking Ji Lingliang COLD in round one of their welterweight matchup.
The undefeated Russian fighter made his debut in the octagon after more than a year. He was greeted by a horrendous bout of Covid and made it to the main card at UFC 267 Abu Dhabi.

He quickly defeated the battle-tested, highly-rated Jingliang who many believed would be the most difficult test in his young mixed martial arts career.
The fearsome Chimaev (nicknamed The Wolf) immediately took control of the centre of the Octagon before shooting for a double leg takedown.
Jingliang managed to resist the first takedown attempt, but he succumbed to the second-underhooks. Chimaev used the double-underhooks to lift him up and speak to Dana White, before sending him to the ground.
China's Jingliang was able to avoid landing on his back, but he struggled to overcome the pressure of Chimaev who made a lot of strikes while he tried to transition.
Jingliang was eventually beaten by him and he ended up flattening Jingliang before resolving to a torrent of concussive punches.
Jingliang was trying to get out of the strikezone by rolling his neck, but he finally gave up.
Chimaev was quickly in a rear-naked choke, but the Jingliang gave him a stellar fight.
The third time around, however, the Chechen clubber caused pandemonium at the Etihad Arena when he choking Li out cold.
Chimaev, elated after the fight interview, shared details from his conversation with White.
He also had a question to ask his detractors who believed Jingliang would give him his first professional loss.
Daniel Cormier was told by he: "I said to Dana, I am the King here.
"I will remain for a long while and I'm going to come for everyone. I'm going to kill everyone.
"Do you still believe me?" "I told you that I was going to kill him, and he's still asleep bro.
When asked about his next challenge, the 27-year old replied, "Everybody, everyone."
"I'm coming to everybody. Kill everyone. I'm the champion, I'm king! "
