"I have done all the research, done the homework and assembled an incredible team of astronauts who are highly knowledgeable about the sport.
"And it's cool almost to be able crack a cold with these guys, be able understand and come up these plays, man like you're playing Madden Football, and being able go out and make it happen.
"And they believe also in me, which is another. It's not that the other people didn't do it, but it's a new start.
"I believe that at 170lbs, with my new team and fresh start, going into battle with a very tough opponent and coming out victorious is going to be a game changer.
"Not for everyone, but for me. To get to the place I want. I will always be a man, no matter what happens.
"But, getting that victory and doing that with all you did in practice is the sweet moment.
"Nobody except you and your team knows this." That's exactly where I am right now."
Tony Ferguson is eternally grateful to Cristina for holding him "accountable".
