It has led to him feuding publicly with UFC president White.
While speaking to the Nelk boys, a promoter criticized Paul and his selection of opponents.
White stated, "He's calling Conor. Conor is a champion at 145 lbs and a champion at 155 lbs.
"You're way more than Conor!"
White answered a question about Paul's chances against McGregor and said, "Zero."
Paul, 24, is now 3-0 as a professional boxer, all via knockout since 2020, but has faced very little opposition.
He beat online rival AnEsonGib and ex-NBA player Nate Robinson (37), and most recently, Ben Askren (37),
Paul will face his greatest challenge on August 29 against Tyron Whiteley, 39, an ex-UFC champion.
White, who has yet to fight a seasoned fighter, is still not convinced by the polarizing celebrity.
He stated that the media are not following as closely as they used to in the beginning.
"The stick is getting older, you know what i mean?" He will have to fight someone if he wants to win the media back.
"Because they are tired of it. They are tired of the stick and say, "Hey, it's me. I'm 190. I want to fight these guys who weigh 170,155, one-f***ing whatever. These men are wrestling and are 40 years old.
"If you want to get taken seriously by the media, you need to fight a real battle."
