The UFC champion lost his sense of smell after returning home.
He said to Jim Rome, "We went upto my Maine home for Thanksgiving. It's a tradition that we go up there every year."
"Someone up there had it and we get back, and all of us tested positive for COVID. Literally, my entire family as well as my Maine family had it.
"We returned on Saturday. Sunday: I cold plunge and steam every day - I get out the cold plunge, I go in the steam, I spray the Eucalyptus, and it was all gone.
So I opened the bottle and started to smell the eucalyptus. This is what you should know.
White sought advice from Joe Rogan, UFC commentator. Rogan has been criticised by some in the medical community for his treatment of the virus.
White said, "I literally got out from the steam and picked up my cellphone to call Joe Rogan."
Joe said that you should get tested as soon as possible after getting up in the morning. So I got up at 9 o'clock Monday morning and went to the test. I was positive.
"He advised me to get monoclonal antibody in me as soon as possible. I did.
"By noon, the monoclonal antibodies were in me. He then told me to do an NAD drip. I did that.
"I get up Tuesday morning, and I smell alcohol. By 11 o'clock the next morning, my taste and smell returned.
"Then, I took a dose yesterday of ivermectin and then I did an IV drip. Today I did another NAD drip. I couldn't feel any better.
"Feel like you're a million dollars. For the next 10 days, I will be doing 2-a-day exercises while I have COVID. In less than 24 hours, I had my smell and taste back.
White's did not hesitate to follow Rogan’s instructions and added: "Listen! I'm vaccinated."
Rogan is an extremely brilliant man, even though it's not as if I'm an anti-vax conspiracy theorist.
"Very intelligent guy who talks to some of the most brilliant and successful people out there. I don't believe in the narrative. This is a free nation, at the end.
"They tell you to stay at home for 10 days until you test negative.
"That doesn't sound smart to me. As we did with COVID, I believe that solutions can be found to problems.
"Rogan has worked alongside over 30-40 people who have done this, and he swears to it. He's a friend of mine that's been with me for over 20 years.
"So yeah, I believe what he's telling me. The way he explained how it works to me made sense to me."
White hopes to be virus-free in the next few days and will be back at work in the following days. He said: "I'm going back to work immediately after I get negative. I'm going back to testing every two days until that happens.
"I hope [I will be at UFC Vegas 44]. If my test is negative, I will be there absolutely positively.
To make sure that I am clean and safe to go again with people, I will follow the protocol.
"As soon that's 100 per cent clear, I'll go back to work."
