O'Malley defended his lifestyle by stating that he treats his wife like a queen and that his actions have nothing to do with their relationship. Currently, O'Malley does not have an opponent lined up for his first title defense as UFC bantamweight champion. He is hoping to defend his title by the end of the year, but it remains unclear who his next opponent will be. Former foe Marlon Vera is a contender, although it is unknown if the UFC is interested in booking that fight.
