UFC chief Dana White doesn't have a problem with Conor McGregor disclosing the pay-per view sales for his rematch against Dustin Poirier.
The Notorious shared these numbers with his legions on social media this week.
Conor McGregor has revealed the pay per-view numbers for UFC 257
The Irishman provided paperwork proving that his UFC 257 fight with The Diamond resulted in 1,504,737 pay per view buys.
McGregor's disclosure of numbers did not bother White. He said, "I don't care anymore."
"Listen, Conor is making f ****n truckloads of cash and he's doing very well.
"Most pay-per views are close to or within the range of what they really are.
"So there are no big secrets."
Fighter pay is still a controversial topic in the sport. There are many fighters on both sides.
BETTING SPECIAL GET 30/1 ON FURY OR 50/1 ON WILDER FOR HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING CLASHWhite says that White believes the majority fighters on the roster do not want their paychecks to be made public.
He stated, "I told you that the fighter pays thing, it doesn’t matter to me."
"If these guys want to let you know what their make, [they] can.
"You guys asked Kevin Holland the other day, and what did he answer? After I said it, he said that people were trying to get him money.
"Most of these guys have what's known as an LOA. You guys don't get their money.
"Most fighters want an LOA. They don't want people knowing how much they make.
"And you can see why people don’t.
When they believe they have it, people start to look for money.
"I think everyone likes the whole "the poor UFC fighters make no money" [narrative] because that is when nobody asks them for money."
McGregor, 33 years old, is currently recuperating from the broken leg he sustained in his UFC 264 Trilogy fight with Poirier.
The Irishman is recovering faster than expected and appears to be on track to return to the Octagon next July.
