Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt shows off his new, slimmer look in advance of his debut at flyweight.
In his quest to become a world champion at two weight, the 30-year-old will face Kai Kara-France at UFC 269 next year.
Rob Font beat American Ace Garbrandt earlier in the year
Garbrandt lost four of his five last fights in the octagon and decided to lose ten pounds to become a flyweight.
A picture online shows the Ohio native looking exhausted, and fans are shocked at his new body.
The Instagram account 'Octagon Updates" posted a mirror selfie of No Love and captioned it: "Cody Garbrandt looking lean to make his move down at Flywreight. What do you think he will do?
One user commented on the photo, "That doesn’t look healthy at all." However, I wish him success.
Another commented: "Damn! Looks drained. Hope it goes well for you."
Another added, "This cannot be healthy."
One person said, "He looks so thin."
The other person offered a prediction about how he would do in the next round. They messaged "Knocked out second-round."
Garbrandt stated that he knows he has to put on a show for Kara-France while admitting that he is scared of competing in the flyweight division.
He said this on his podcast "Rollin with the Homies".
"This fight is huge for me and (a) huge opportunity to advance my career. Because I have never made 125, I am as nervous as any fight. I have never fought here. There are many unanswered questions.
"Just like going to the Dominick Cruz fight, I could go there and knock him out. Could I make it five rounds? This is possible. Could you do this?
"There are so many unanswered question that it scares and motivates me to do the extra.
"Not that it hasn't happened in the past but it's more. It's necessary to add more, and then you can figure it all out.
"So, I believe that this will be an excellent weight for me. I feel great about my energy levels. I have been on a diet for two months and have already lost five to seven pounds. I'm feeling good."
