KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV offered Jake Paul the chance to fight in his mixed martial arts promotion.
Paul, a YouTuber and boxer, is considering a move to MMA after his brutal KO against Tyron Woodley, former UFC welterweight champion.
Jake Paul seems to be considering a move to mixed martial arts
Paul, 25, recently expressed his desire to be a fighter in the sport to Dana White, UFC supremo. This led to Nurmagomedov, Eagle FC chief, offering to take him on.
Nurmagomedov responded to Paul's tweet by writing: "The doors at @EagleFightClub are always open for you, your team."
Paul, Problem Child, teased a possible transition to MMA recently by sharing a video on social media of him practicing leg kicks.
On Friday night, he said to White: "When my MMA debut is made, I could lose 20 pounds & do it as Welterweight / 170 lbs.
"That's exactly what UFC fighters do, and many have lost their bodies and minds doing it.
"But, I'm going to do it at Middleweight (185). Health first.
"PS Conor McGregor walks around at 190 [lbs]
White, a MMA mogul, has not ruled out Paul fighting in the UFC octagon.
The Nelk Boys were told by him: "I don’t know." Although I doubt that it would ever happen, I can assure you that I do not believe so.
"You know, Floyd and Conor were not my thoughts, nor did I think I would be doing Floyd or Conor against Floyd.
"Because it just doesn't make any sense."
Nurmagomedov, who retired from MMA in 2020, has devoted his efforts to growing his Russia-based promotion.
Ex-UFC fighters have been signed by the Eagle, including Rashad Evans (a former lightweight title challenger) and Light-Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.
Eagle Fighting Championship will host the inaugural American show next week in Miami. The show will feature a match between Tyrone Spong, a kickboxing ace, and Sergei Kharitonov (MMA veteran).
