VITOR BELFORT was left TikToker Bryce Hall in pain after a brutal sparring session.
Belfort will be fighting Oscar De La Hoya, an ex-UFC champion, on September 11, in the boxing legend’s return to the ring.
Initial eyebrows were raised by the fact that De La Hoya (48), had only boxed once in his career, in 2006.
Perhaps even more shocking was Belfort’s choice of sparring partner: social media star Hall who recently lost online to Austin McBroom.
The sparring session was filmed by the pair and posted online. It could only be described to be one-way traffic.
Belfort trapped Hall twice in the corner, leaving him with the effects of brutal body shots.
After being mocked for his sluggish display, the American celebrity quickly defended himself on Twitter
Hall, 21 years old tweeted: "Why do people hold me up to the boxing standards of a professional when I have only trained in boxing for two months?"
"I'm learning and trying to improve!" Sorry, i'm not floyd Mayweather yet.
McBroom, 29 was facing Hall in a TikTok boxing match in June. McBroom was representing the former.
He was then dominated and punched around the ring, and eventually beaten in three rounds.
As Belfort draws closer to his cross-over fight with De La Hoya, it leaves him in need of better sparring partners.
Although the veterans were originally set up to box in an exhibit bout, it will now be a professional sanctioned contest at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
However, it is conditional on De La Hoya's and Belfort passing extensive medical testing for fighters over 40 years old.
It includes an MRA, MRI of the brain and EKG.
The bout will last eight rounds and be two minutes long, although regular pro boxing is fought in three-minute rounds.
