Blaydes, a decorated wrestler, will give the Brazilian jiu jistu black belt a tougher test on the ground if the fight goes ahead.
American Blaydes won six of his seven last outings after his 2018 knockout loss against Francis Ngannou, the current heavyweight champion. His only defeat came at the hands UFC's KO king Derrick Lewis.
