UFC star Dustin Poirier suggests that he will increase his weight divisions. He also looks a lot more muscular in the gym as 'Bulking SZN.'

DUSTIN POIRIER is currently in 'bulking season' as he suggests that he will gain weight.

After two victories against Conor McGregor, the American just suffered a defeat to Charles Oliveira as lightweight champion.

Poirier teased a welterweight debut and is rumoured to be in talks with Nate Diaz.

However, it seems that he is gaining weight in his latest Instagram post which was captioned "Bulking SZN".

From the time that UFC 230 was cancelled, Diaz, 36, and Poirier 32 were scheduled to fight.

Both have been rivals since then and they recently opened the doors to rekindling their grudge match.

Poirier revealed that the UFC approached him to fight Diaz in a'super-short-notice' bout, which he was happy to accept.

On Teddy Atlas' podcast Poirier stated: "No contract has yet been signed, but if it does, I'm going for it."

"This would be very brief-notice. I had already looked in the mirror. I spoke with my wife and my boxing coach who I speak to often.

"I also spoke to Mike Brown, my coach. If I decide to fight, they'll be there for me.

"But, I must look in the mirror and ask myself if I would like to fight. I did. I felt great looking in the mirror. It's something I want to do."

Cageside Press reports that Poirier will be joined by Diaz on the UFC 272 card in March.

Former friends and enemies Jorge Masvidal (37), and Colby Covington (33) are rumoured to be the headliners of the event.
