FRANCIS NGNOU insists that he's tired of borrowing money and suggested that he might switch to boxing.
UFC star Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury were the ones who allegedly took home the huge sums of money last weekend.
Francis Ngannou might abandon MMA in order to pursue a lucrative career in boxing
Boxing's most famous pair made at least PS18 million EACH for their trio showdown.
It is understood that Wilder and Fury's respective disclosed purses were PS4.4million ($6m), and PS2.9m ($4m), respectively.
However, the contract already guaranteed that the duo would receive a minimum amount of PS18m for their third showdown.
Ngannou is not happy about this. He complained about the amount he was paid for his sport.
According to MMA Hour, the 35-year old said that MMA is more difficult than boxing. He still has one fight on his UFC contract.
"I don't feel like I should be borrowing money to pay for my training camp.

"At some point I'm going to go after the money. For sure, I will be boxing. I am not challenging the system. I'm simply stating my right.
"I am not yet signed a new contract because I don't want to sign a deal with these terms. I feel unsafe.
"I have borrowed money in the past two years and nobody seems to care about it. I don't have any guarantee on that deal.
"I learned from that experience and am now trying to negotiate better terms for my contract. I feel that I have earned the right terms.
"According what they said, my contract is independent so I want a termination date so that I can be at liberty after it ends."
"I would like to be free after that, so you can decide from there where you want to go and what you will do.
"I will not be required to sign the contract again (with a termination date), as it is not an independent contract.
"If you claim that I am challenging the system, then I know I am not. I can assure your satisfaction that I am not."
Ngannou beat Stipe Miocic to win the UFC World Heavyweight Belt in March.
He will face Cyril Gane, interim champ at UFC 270 in January 2022 for a unification fight.
With his powerful punching power, and the lure of extra money, we might soon see the Cameroon hero in boxing gloves -- and possibly challenging for belts.
PAY PROBLEMS
Ngannou isn't the only UFC star to lament the franchises pay system.
Sean O'Malley criticized chief Dana White about his salary. He wants to be paid "what he's worth".
According to reports, the 26-year-old bantamweight received a base salary equivalent to PS43,300 for his fight against Thomas Almedia on March 23.
Jon Jones, a light-heavyweight, is currently involved in a dispute with the promotion. He has not fought since February 2020.
Jake Paul also criticized White for the issue. White placed a $1m wager that White would lose to Ben Askren in a Boxing Match.
Paul stated that "In my third fight I made more money than any fighter in UFC History in total pay."
"Maybe it's the right time to give your fighters their dues?" They all want to box.
