UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje has attacked Conor McGregor's LA lifestyle in the wake of his trio fight with Dustin Poirier.
In the last weeks of his UFC 264 rubber match against his former featherweight opponent, The Notorious opened a shop in the City of Angels.
Conor McGregor suffered a broken left leg during his fight with Dustin Pourier in the Trilogy.
McGregor, 33 years old, did not exact revenge on The Diamond. He snapped his left fibula and tibia in the last seconds of the first round.
McGregor's terrible injury remains unsolved. However, Gaethje, former interim lightweight champion, has said that McGregor had consumed too much soyamilk.
ESPN reported that he said: "My view is that he's hanging around LA and drinking too much soyamilk.
"And there was clearly not an obvious check that should've caused a break (leg).
"It must be a rare occurrence or the man has weak bones, but I cannot explain it and neither can anyone else."
McGregor currently stands at 1-3 in his four previous outings, and hasn’t won a lightweight title since his 2016 masterclass against Eddie Alvarez.
Gaethje, a fan favourite, was keen to share the cage before his two-fight skid. He believes that a fight against the UFC's poster child will never happen.
The Highlight stated: "After he chose Cowboy [Donald Cerrone]" and that it was history that I had the opportunity to fight Tony (Ferguson), but I never received an offer.
"My ultimate goal was to defeat Khabib and Conor, and that was worth the risk. So that is what I did.
"But fighting McGregor could have been possible then, maybe. However, I believe the chances of McGregor being killed are now zero percent.
"Because he'll fight, even if it's once or twice [more], and it won’t be guys like us.
"It will be guys like Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal who are favourable match-ups."
McGregor is making a good recovery. He recently put 50 percent of his body weight on the injured foot using an anti-gravity treadmill.
Mystic Mac shared a video last month of him walking on a treadmill, with the caption: "Today's a momentous Day!" You can!
"I was able to walk for the first time since my surgery. I now have 50% of my large body weight.
"I did it also in the brand-new 'Irish Green’ Virgil Louis Abloh's!
"Although I still have a long way to go, it has been a huge personal boost for my today!"
"Thank you to everyone for your continued support. God bless, happy Saturday."
