Video footage appears to show the former title challenger hitting rapper and boxer Omar Nguale Ilunga

But he allegedly found himself in a scrap with Omar Nguale Ilunga after his pal Tony Effe became involved in a heated conversation with the rapper and boxer.

Veteran Italian MMA journalist Al Zullino revealed an altercation quickly ensued between the pair, which sparked a mass brawl.

Video footage from the crowd showed several men scrapping and a man who appeared to be Vettori on the fringes of the scuffle.

But as Ilunga was pushed in his direction, Vettori seemingly landed a series of hammer blows before the boxer fell to the floor.

Security eventually jumped in and diffused the situation, although they weren’t quick enough to stop blows from being traded in the first place.

Former middleweight title challenger Vettori, 29, was in action earlier this month at UFC 286 in London.

The Kings MMA ace locked horns with the surging Roman Dolidze on the main card of Leon Edwards’ trilogy fight with Kamaru Usman.

And he returned to the win column with a unanimous decision victory over the Georgian, although many fans in attendance at The O2 thought he’d lost the fight.

Vettori said of his performance: “It was good.

“First time, my mom came and watched me in the UFC. I couldn’t lose in front of her.

“Back in the win column. Don’t forget about me.

“I keep improving my game and I’m proud of all my kicking tonight.

“I’m around. [Jared] Cannonier, [Alex] Pereira, [Israel] Adesanya, line them up.”
