Nate Diaz was awestruck by Tyson Fury's fight with Deontay wilder in the Trilogy.
The Ultimate Fighter Season Five winner is keen to test himself in the ring before his story ends.
Stockton slugger said to BT Sport that he had always wanted to box. "I've been trapped in a cage all my life."
36-year-old Diaz was at ringside last weekend for Tyson Fury's epic trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder - which the Gypsy Kings won via an impressive 11th-round knockout.
Future UFC Hall-of-Famer, Dana White, said about the bout: "I thought that it was a good fighting match. It was an entertaining fight." It was great to see.
Fury's incredible heart and determination to overcome two crushing knockdowns impressed the former lightweight title challenger.
He said, "It was great. It was slow to come, but they did have some back-and forth at the beginning. It's pretty cool.
Diaz admires the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion, confessing: "I love Fury."
"I love the Fury-Wilder Trilogy - all of it. It's great that I was able to be here.
Since June's unanimous defeat to Brit Leon Edwards, Diaz has not been seen in the octagon.
The UFC contract has only one fight for the welterweight champion. He recently said that he is open to boxing YouTubers Jake Paul and Logan Paul.
He said that he was open to the possibility of facing the Paul brothers following his defeat at UFC 263.
"And it's wonderful to hear Andre Ward speak about [us].
"That's one the greatest boxers of all time, I think. That's the man, pound-for-pound.
"It's awesome that he recognizes me at all."
