Controversial fighter takes on local opponent in open workout
Sean Strickland, the outspoken American UFC star set to challenge Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title, made headlines once again when he sparred with a fan during an open workout in Sydney. Strickland, known for his controversial and brash behavior, invited a spectator to join him in the ring and the two exchanged some light blows.
Strickland's presence felt away from home
As Strickland prepares for his upcoming title bout over 9,000 miles away from his home country, he has wasted no time in picking fights with locals. Taking to Twitter, he announced that he would be doing some open workouts and invited fans to spar with him. While expressing a preference for a larger opponent, Strickland still engaged in a friendly exchange with a fan in attendance.

Adesanya fan receives a punch on the street
Adding further fuel to the fire, Strickland claimed to have punched an Adesanya fan in the street after he allegedly trash-talked him. Speaking to Fox Sports, he recounted the incident where he thought the individual wanted a photo but instead received a punch to the gut. Strickland admitted to committing an assault within his first day in Australia.
