UFC bantamweight Yana Kuritskaya was forced to deny that she was pregnant during her last fight. She revealed she is currently expecting her second child.
Thiago Santos, the former women's featherweight champion, announced this week that they are expecting their first child together.
Yana Kunitskaya, UFC women's bantamweight Yana Kunitskaya, recently announced that she is expecting her second child.
Kunitskaya shared a photo of herself and her bump on social media. She was overwhelmed with congratulations from fans and fighters alike.
However, some of her followers claimed that she was pregnant during the UFC 264 match with Irene Aldana.
These claims were vehemently refuted by the Russian on Instagram. She posted a throwback picture of her first pregnancy along with her current bump.
Kunitskaya's caption was: "Just to be clear! I wasn't fighting [sic] to get pregnant! I did!
"In the left eye I am with my first child 2 months early, and there is right side 2 months later.
"It's how my body reacts.
"All you who keep texting me, take care of your business."
Kunitskaya would not have been able compete if she was pregnant, as all female fighters are subject to pre-fight medicals by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Foxy shared a photo of her carrying a watermelon and announced her pregnancy.
"We wanted it to be kept secret for a while longer, but my body won't allow it lol. I will be back at octagon in 2022."
Kunitskaya was defeated by Aldana in the first round via TKO. The main UFC 264 card featured Conor McGregor's trio fight with Dustin Poirier.
Aldana's defeat ended a two-fight winning streak for the ex-Invicta FC bantamweight champion. She is now 2-2 in her four previous fights.
After receiving medical treatment, Kunitskaya was left in a terrible state by Mexico's Aldana. However, she posted a message for her fans.
She also included a photo of her swelling face and wrote "Sorry, life goes on."
