COLBY COVINGTON entered his grudge match against Jorge Masvidal confident that he would be able to defeat the UFC star.
In a highly anticipated grudge match, the former best friends became rivals earlier this month at UFC 272 in Las Vegas.
Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, bitter rivals, went to war at UFC 272
Covington defeated his friend with his wrestling five times straight to proclaim himself "The King of Miami".
Kamaru Usman, the reigning champion at welterweight, was one of the most interested observers of the fight. It turned out exactly as he had predicted.
SunSport was informed by the Love Hemp Ambassador that "the fight went exactly like I expected it to."
"Because Covington asked me for the fight, my answer was, 'Okay.' You train with certain guys, and you get to know them. You are familiar with their level.

"Because that heart will give away everything.
"It is very rare to get a lucky [KO]. You throw a punch with your eyes closed and it hits the mark.
"So to fight for a man's soul; I believe Covington knew Masvidal all those years as they trained. Because it's something that will stay with you forever.
"And that's why he asked me for the fight, and that the fight would look exactly like that.
"And I said it: His wrestling is just going to domineer."
Masvidal claimed that his feud with Covington was not over just hours after the UFC dust-up. This was despite Covington's comments regarding his children.
The UFC's BMF champion allegedly kept his word and attacked Covington at the Papi Steak in Miami on Monday night.
Gamebred is said to have worn a "surgical face mask" and a hoodie during his attack on Covington. He also stated that he didn't want to be talking about his children.
According to Miami Beach Police reports, Covington was left with a broken left front tooth and a bruising to his wrist.
Masvidal, aged 37, was taken into custody last night. He was charged with felony Battery, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 penalty.
However, the fan favorite was released on bail Thursday morning after posting a $15,000 bond.
