McGregor landed powerful hooks and straights in the heavy bag

McGregor, 34 years old, has been working hard in the gym for the past two months, hitting the heavy bags and pads regularly.

One of the Irishman’s most recent workouts saw him nab the heavy bag with no gloves or hand wraps.

The Notorious posted a video of himself loading photos onto his bag to Instagram on Saturday morning.

The UFC's posterboy measured the bag and threw looping right hooks.

The caption he used to accompany the clip was: "Bare knuckle."

McGregor's legion was quick to respond, with one comment: "Let’s go champ champ."

Another stated, "I can see their heads bobbing on the canvas."

Another said, "We are ready to return the Mac."

One commented, "Can't wait to your return champ champ."

Another voiced support: "Come on McGregor, show everyone what you can accomplish."

"So many lost battles, but I still believe that you are my hero." "May the gods bless your endeavors."

McGregor, a former champion in two divisions, began to kick with an injured leg late last year and has since resumed mixed martial arts training.

John Kavanagh, the head coach, was astonished by what he saw in Dubliner's return to Straight Blast Gym Ireland.

According to him, The BBC said that he was happy, healthy and it was great to have him back.

"The last few sessions here at the gym were MMA-oriented - he has the all-clear now.

"He had a great session last evening, and we played some amazing rounds. He looked great and hasn't lost any of his momentum.

"Trust me, we had a little bit of a wrestling match last night and it was great.

"When the silverback arm wraps around your neck, there's a little extra squeeze there... He's very, very powerful at the moment."
