ANTHONY JOSHUA will rematch Oleksandr Uzyk in May in the UK, after Eddie Hearn confirmed that US and Middle East deals had been snubbed.
AJ gave up the WBA, IBF, and WBO belts in September to Usyk. However, AJ later exercised his right for an immediate rematch.
Anthony Joshua will rematch Oleksandr Uzyk in May back in Britain
Joshua's career could be at stake, which has sparked mass intrigue and a host of suitors seeking to host the must-win replay.
Hearn, however, revealed that AJ will regain home advantage and will have full support from British fans against Usyk.
On the 5 Live Boxing podcast, he stated that AJ would be fighting Usyk. This is his preference. That fight will be on May.
"There's America, the UK, and the Middle East. We've received offers from all over the world to fight that battle. It would be great to do it in the UK, and we'll see.
Joshua, 32, made US debut in June 2019, but was shocked by Andy Ruiz Jr. 32 in New York. He lost in seven rounds after four knockdowns.
Six months later, they fought again. AJ would regain his belts and take revenge.

Joshua could not agree to a step-aside agreement, which would have meant he was forced to forfeit his rematch.
Fury will now fight Dillian Whyte (33-year-old WBC mandatory challenger), with AJ rematching Usyk.
Tottenham's 62,000-seater stadium was the scene Joshua lost last year. It is still a potential contender.
Hearn also has the option of Wembley Stadium, where Wladimir Klitschko was beaten by AJ in 2017.
