TOMMY FURRY still has less than 72 hours to prove that he can travel to America. If he fails to do so, he will be unable to face Jake Paul.
They had reached an agreement to face off in New York City's Madison Square Garden on 6 August. Tyson Fury's brother will be competing for a seven-figure prize.
Jake Paul has given Tommy Fury a deadline to find a new opponent
The pair are now on the knife edge after TNT was stopped from boarding a plane to New York to participate in a press conference hosted by Homeland Security.
The 23-year old was detained at Heathrow. He is still waiting to visit the US Embassy to resolve the matter.
Paul, 25 years old, is now close to abandoning Fury's plans and moving on with a new opponent. He claims that he has three other options.
Last night, he took to Twitter to declare: "Tommy will be officially out by Wednesday morning, if he does not go to the Embassy and/or come out of hiding." There were three other potential opponents. I'm built different."
It remains to see who Paul might take on in his place.
Anderson Silva, a UFC legend, will not be able to compete after agreeing to fight on the same undercard as Floyd Mayweather's next exhibition bout.
Nate Diaz would love the opportunity to fill that void. However, he has one fight remaining on his UFC contract with Dana White refusing him to leave early.
Paul also said that he would not be fighting former world champion boxer Julio Cesar Chavez despite their previous trash talk. He stated: "Was near top of the list, but unfortunately he's going through rehab. We're hoping for the best in the future.
SUN BINGO GET PS50 BONUS & 50 FREE SPINS TODAYPaul previously stated that Team Fury had been resting their hands after Tommy was stopped at Heathrow Airport. They have yet to travel the United States Embassy.
He wrote the following: "Tommy Fury will not go to the Embassy to obtain his visa."
"It's been 36hrs without any action from his part. Tommy Fumbles style dictates that he will miss the NYC press conference.
Fury was refused entry to America days after Tyson, his brother, was stopped from entering the country because of Tyson's "involvement” with Daniel Kinahan, an alleged Irish mob boss.
