KELL BROOK was smiling as he started a well-earned vacation after his win over Amir Khan.
With a sixth round TKO win in Manchester, the Steel City slugger ended his decade-long feuding with Brit Joe.
Last weekend, Kell Brook won a sixth round TKO over Amir Khan
The former IBF welterweight champion has flown out to the Canary Islands for some much needed R&R.
Brook looked happy as he took a picture with Adam Bailey, MTK Fuertaventura boss.
His face didn't show any signs of damage, even though he looked like he had just been through six rounds with his bitter opponent.
As they prepared for Khan's long-awaited clash, Brook and Dominic Ingle made Fuertaventura home.
Special K went to the Canaries for an eight-weight training camp, which meant that he missed Christmas Day with his family as well as two of his daughters' birthdays.
Brook was forced to watch his children open their presents on Zoom while he prepared for his second-biggest bout of his career.
However, he was able to close the book on Khan's rivalry and the pain of being far from his family was worth it.
He stated, "We've all gone through it all for weeks or months away from family to ensure that we're in our best condition. And that moment (of victory), it's all worthwhile when I'm there."
Brook stated, minutes after having his hand raised: "I knew it was going to occur.
"What a feeling. "I'm back at the top and now I have the bragging rights.
"I knew I was a better fighter from the time I was 18, and tonight's fight was an amazing spectacle. I dealt with him.
"I had to wear different gloves in the ring.
"They told me they wouldn't pay me if I didn’t put them on.
"I had someone knock on my hotel's door at 4 am trying to disrupt my preparation.
They tried to get in my head for a week, but I managed to take care of the business. I can be at peace with me. I'm back, baby."
