Anatoli Muratov vs Chris Eubank Jr. tale of the tape: How fighters compare before Saturday's fight

CHRIS EUBANK JR will be preparing for the next stage in his career by a tune-up fight against Anatoli Muratov, who was replaced by him.

As the new face for Sky Sports Boxing, the middleweight contender will be back in the ring Saturday night.

Eubank Jr was matched against 18-1 Sven Elbir until the German tested positive to coronavirus.

This led to Muratov (a little-known Russian citizen) being called in as a last-minute substitute.

Eubank Jr. doesn't care who the opponent is, as long as the goal is the same: win and advance to December's big fight.

His last fight was a ten round thrashing of Marcus Morrison from Manchester, an exercise to clear the air and get the ring time.

The son of a legend, however, is now 32 and must continue to pursue his world title ambitions.

Kalle Sauerland, his promoter, has teased an end-of-year pay-per view, with Billy Joe Saunders (32), and Liam Williams (29).

Gennady, the IBF middleweight champion, will need to wait until next year, as Gennady Golovkin (39), will be competing against Ryota Murat, 35.

Eubank Jr., who lost only to Saunders and now-retired George Groves 33, would like to face GGG at Brighton’s Amex Stadium.

He stated that he was told he wanted to fight again in the UK. That's a great stadium filler.

"How incredible would it be to get the fight at Amex or some similar in Brighton? I've always wanted fight there. It's time to do it."

Eubank Jr. is also interested in Canelo Alvarez (Boxing's No1 pound-for-pound Boxing Champion), who, at 31, has decided to retire from Saunders.

It is also a fitting one for Britain's largest audience.

Sky Sports' Eubank Jr said: "I mean, who else is there?" Beats Callum Smith, beats Saunders, there's no one else. It would fill the largest stadium."

Muratov (33), a man Eubank Jr. has only beaten twice with one draw and 24 victories.

He has already defeated Gyorgy Varju and Malkhaz Sujashvili this year, and he takes 17 knockouts in the fight.
