Deontay Wilder
Ruiz was twice brutally knocked to death by the former WBC champion. The former WBC champion was at ringside.
It was a WBC title eliminator. Wilder, 36, will compete in that when he faces Robert Helenius (38), on October 15.
Wilder will fight Ruiz if he wins. This would make Wilder eligible to fight Tyson Fury (34).
The mega-fight is made even more possible by the fact that the two fighters are under the PBC banner.

Ruiz has fought for a tri-fight ever since, but AJ lost twice to Oleksandr Uzyk, 35.
Joshua will have to rebuild his life, but Joshua's old rivals could now renew their series in order to decide the trilogy.

Luis Ortiz rematch
Despite all the knockdowns Ortiz was able to push Ruiz all the while and would have won the card if Ruiz wasn't floored.
He refused to quit and demanded a second fight.
Ruiz may run out of options. However, Ruiz can negotiate a rerun if the Cuban is also under PBC.
Ortiz said: "I want a rematch. Although I tried to keep my hands open, the eye was not a problem.

Derek Chisora
Chisora (38), returned to winning ways beating Kubrat Pulev (41), in their July barnburner.
The veteran doesn't want to acknowledge his retirement, he just wants another big night and a payday.
Eddie Hearn was looking for names to match Chisora with, and Ruiz was one of them.
His alliance with Hearn could make it difficult to negotiate any fight against any PBC star.
