ANTHONY JOSHUA promised to bring back the 'energy’ he had with Wladimir Klitschko during his legendary fight with him. This could be his do-or-die rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
AJ will try to regain the unified heavyweight titles he was beaten by the undefeated Ukrainian in the early part of next year.
In September, Anthony Joshua lost a unanimous decision to Oleksandr Uzyk
The Watford warrior will use the same aggressive approach that he used to win his 2017 classic against retired Klitschko in the crunch clash.
He said, "I'm going to bring that energy back." He said, "But I'm not going to go into my training and everything."
Joshua, 32, won a thrilling 11th round KO over Klitschko in front a sell-out Wembley Stadium. He is now the unification heavyweight champion.
Four years after his first coronation the former champ is finally coming to terms with the war' that his confrontation with Dr Steelhammer was.
He confessed that he didn't know what kind of fight it was at the time.
"It's only now that I look back, and I see, as you mentioned, Wilder Fury-type fights, and it's been a long time since we had a fight like this. Since 2016.
"It was war."
Although a date has not been set for Joshua's second fight with Usyk, Eddie Hearn revealed recently that the fight will take place in spring.
Matchroom Boxing's chief stated that he believes it will happen by the end of March or early April.
"Both men are likely resting. However, AJ will be doing a little more preparation to make sure he does it right.
"It was a well-documented visit to America to just look, look, learn, and see.
"I believe he will return out there towards the end.
"We will begin talking to Team Usyk in the next few weeks and pinpoint the venue."
Joshua wants to settle the matter with his Olympic gold medallist. He told iFL TV that he has one thing in his mind: "That's war, murder, that is to go out and hurt the guy until he gives up.
"I'm done with losing. I'm done trying to learn sweet science. Because this is war, he might be thrown to the ground in the next fight.
It's just war. I get annoyed. It's the passion to win that makes me boil up, even talking about it.
